Canoeing and Kayaking with Rohrs Canoeing

Canoe and Kayak Float Trips - The Headwaters of the Wisconsin River flows south from Lac Vieux Desert down to Eagle River where it joins the Eagle River chain of lakes to become the mighty Wisconsin River. It is a small scenic stream with good current and no rapids and is well suited to all paddlers including families with children. This picturesque river, which supports a merit of wildlife, winds through county forest land marked by forested shores and pretty marshland. On a day of serene paddling a paddler may see herons, hawks, eagles, ducks, beaver, deer, otters and more. Also, to tantalize the fisherman, the Wisconsin River supports many species of game fish. RWT maintains it's own private canoe landing, just a mile north of Rummels Road, where Portage Creek, another delightful canoe float and fishing stream, flows into the Wisconsin River. Our private canoe landing is a perfect place to start or end the many varied canoe trips that we offer. With the finest in canoes and equipment, we can customize a half hour float or several day canoe trip for you.
