Forty-Acre Woods Trail

RWT maintains a wonderful trail on the property of their Forty-Acre Woods. This trail is available to the public with a suggested $5.00 per person trail donation. Come on over, check in, put on your skis and enjoy the Forty-Acre Woods nestled in it's winter blanket of snow. The trail winds thru the property taking in the hills and valleys, and meanders along the Headwaters of the Wisconsin River and Portage Creek. A compact 5K trail that has equal amounts of easy, intermediate and expert trails which offers the skier the unique opportunities for endless combinations of trails to ski. Come and rent our beautiful house and have great cross country skiing right from your door. The house is divided into two apartments up and down connected by a common sunroom over the outside stairs. The house has a knotty pine interior with log beams and banisters. It is built to be very comfortable in the winter with plenty of insulation, good windows, nice warm hot water heat and ceiling fans for the summer. The upper apartment has three bedrooms, cathedral ceiling and gas fireplace in the living room, dining room and complete kitchen. This apartment has one and a half bathes with tub/shower combination in the full bath. The two loft bedrooms have a double bed in each, the main floor bedroom is equipped with two twin beds and there is a hide-a-bed in the living room. The downstairs apartment has one bedroom with a double bed, living room, dining room, complete kitchen and bath with a shower. The living room is also equipped with a futon couch, which converts into a double bed. The house can be rented as a whole or two apartments. Winter access at the Forty Acre Woods has no worries, we maintain our road with a tractor complete with a 6 foot snowblower.
